Minuets Cats are a cross between the Munchkin and Persian cat breeds.
A standard Minuet cat will have short legs and will often but not always have long hair. Their faces tend to be flatter than a typical cat and they usually keep their cute chubby look even when they are fully grown due to the big boned structure of the Persian Breed.
When all put together these characteristics create a
short, round, kitty, with a sweet, wide eyed expression on their face.
Like with Munchkins, a litter of Minuet kittens will generally have both long legged and short legged kittens.
The long legged kittens are referred to as Non Standard.
One sub category of the Persian breed is the Exotic Shorthair,
which also can be used to breed Minuets.
Minuet kittens with an Exotic Shorthair parent can have short hair
in combination with the flatter face and the cobby body of a Persian.
Short haired Minuets can also be born from the pairing of
a short haired Munchkin with any of the Persian subcategories.

Minuet Cats were once known as Napoleon Cats
Several years ago the International Cat Association,
changed the breed's official name from Napoleon to Minuet.
To simplify things breeders will often advertise them as Munchkins
as they do have the Munchkin short legged gene, and more people
are familiar with the name Munchkin rather than Minuet.
This is why you will find Minuet kittens sometimes listed as Munchkins. But a Minuet is actually different than a Munchkin,
in that a Minuet reveals a strong Persian influence.
