A joyful welcome to our newest members to the Purrfurrably Unique Family!
Scottish Kilt Cats are a combination of the Munchkin Breed
and the Scottish Fold Breed.
They are also known as Munchkin Folds or Scottish Fold Munchkins.
At Purrfurrably Unique we pair a folded ear parent with a Minuet parent,
the Minuet is a cross between a Munchkin and a Persian or Exotic Shorthair.
This gives our Scottish Kilts an adorable doll faced Persian look.

Come join this Scottish Kilt kitten
on his first time outside in
the flower garden
on a breezy spring morning. Curious and fascinated by the sights, sounds, smells, and sensations,
he has an exciting time.
A litter of Scottish kilts may have some kittens born with folded ears
and short legs, some with short legs and straight ears,
some with long legs and folded ears,
and some with long legs and straight ears.
We refer to a kitten born in these litters as a Scottish Kilt,
a Minuet, Scottish Fold, or a Non Standard,
according to the traits they are born with.
We generally find this is less confusing than referring to those kittens
that do not have both the folded ears and the short legs as Scottish Kilts.
