Selkirk Rex Cats
This breed has a genetic variation for curly hair
first found in a cat in Montana in 1987.
Not only is their coat curly, but their whiskers are too.
Their fur is soft and they love to cuddle.
Some people call them "Poodle Cats",
or sometimes " the cat in sheep’s clothing".
To some people Selkirk Rex cats
simply look like they are having a "bad hair day".
Selkirk Rex fur is very soft and cottony,
unlike the wool of a sheep which it visibly resembles.
It is very easy to care for, even if it becomes tangled.
The tangles are much easier to remove
compared to the coat of a Persian cat.
Please enjoy these photos of some of
our Selkirk Rex cats and kittens.

We particularly love
the look of our dilute
colorpoint Selkirk Rex cats.
The curly white fluff
with subtle shades
on their face, feet, and tail,
and the bright blue eyes,
all seem to enhance the
dreamy, cloud like beauty
of a Selkirk's coat.

Please enjoy a short video
showing one of our
Selkirk Rex cats
from the time she was a kitten
to when she was a
beautiful adult cat.
